Young Philosophy - 2^nd (under)graduate conference

From 19^th until 22^nd August 2010 the Technical University of Darmstadt hosts another convention for young academics in Philosophy. Under the topic „Re-Enchantment of the World?“ we will discuss aspects of technology between Enlightenment, progress, myth and magic.

We welcome any contributions of all philosophical schools or traditions and also of other disciplines related to technology, such as medical science or engineering for instance.

Expect three exciting days full of philosophy, interesting discussions and inspiring dialogs. But not only issue-related discussions are of importance. Also we would like to give you a forum for your own philosophical activities, such as getting in touch with students from national or other international departments. Further it is an opportunity to gain experience in planning and organizing a participation in conventions, eventually getting your papers published or inspiring other students with your own ideas.

This is especially interesting for those of you who plan an academic career. We welcome all students of philosophy and related disciplines, no matter if you are a bachelor, master or even a quite experienced PhD student.
